Well, I'm thinking about updating this more often. I tried twitter and wasn't a fan. I only know a few people who really use it - all in their 2o's. All my younger and older friends stick to facebook and websites they like.

Tomorrow is Stacey's birthday. I can talk about it because I doubt she ever looks at my blog (I'll get into viewing members soon). My gorgeous gal will be a year older, but still looks like a twenty year old. Lucky me!

She needs a watch so I got her a few and she needs tires (and I want her to be safe) so we'll get her some of those, too. I think I'll cook for her a bit tomorrow, though I did so tonight for her and her dad, which was fun (it was his birthday) Tonight: Steak, baked potat, mushrooms, cheesecake. Tomorrow: Homemade burgers (her favourite food) and maybe pancakes if I wake up in time.

Summer is coming. People always say, "You must be coasting, the end is soon." Actually, this is the busiest time of the year. I don't have time to enjoy the end. The government set up high school so that the biggest assignments and exams are all in the last 2 weeks. End result: no students study for their exams (like we used to) because they are too busy finishing major assignments. This is the same government that sets an English test to test whether a student can write a test or not, instead of whether they are literate or not. Teaching students how to write a test is now part of my job. Sad. But don't get me started...

But start I must as I'm spending part of the first weeks of "vacation" at curriculum writing workshops. At least we get paid a bit to do this.

But summer will be busy. Stace and I will go up north for a week in July. In August I spend most of a week in Vegas and then most of a week canoe tripping. I was supposed to take the summer off to write my planned novel, but real life experiences are not to be discounted in the life of an artist!

That's today's update. Maybe I'll do so more often in the future. This is where YOU come in. If you read this, make a COMMENT. Even if you say "bite me" at least I'll know someone read this. And I'll laugh.
